Code of Ethics

This Code of Ethics should be read and agreed upon by both parents and future cotillion members.

  1. No dates or guests allowed.
  2. No entrance until 6:30 PM. No one is permitted in the lobby before 6:30 PM. No early drop-offs. Early pickups must be arranged with the school representative prior to the dance or at drop-off. School representatives will retrieve your child from the ballroom.
  3. Parents are required to walk in to both drop off and pick up their children. Pickup is at 9:30 PM. Please be prompt.
  4. During a dance, members will stay within the ballroom and designated areas only.
  5. Students are encouraged to come to the dance without bags, purses, or cell phones. At check-in, all of these items will be collected and left with school representatives or chaperones until the end of the dance; however, we are not responsible for these items.
  6. No cell phones allowed in the ballroom!
  7. Vulgar dancing and profanity will result in dismissal from the dance.
  8. A member's attire is expected to be tasteful and in keeping with the dress code of the dance. Those not adhering to the dress code will be asked to leave (you may return in proper attire) or change into the options that are available from the dress code committee. (See Dress Code Page)
  9. Board members and chaperones have the right to deny entry or dismiss a member already in the ballroom due to inappropriate behavior (throwing items in the ballroom that could be harmful to others) or due to modification of attire. (i.e., rolling up shorts to make the length shorter or baring the midriff by rolling up shirts). These are only some examples.
